The cool weather of the 2011 growing season allowed us to produce a Zinfandel that beautifully expresses the rugged northern landscape of Mendocino. It still has all the hallmarks of a Trinitas Zinfandel with great fruit and warming barrel spices, but in 2011 they are also accompanied by pronounced varietal and site driven savory notes. The bouquet opens with ripe wild berries, dried herbs, white peppercorn, red licorice, and baking spices.
