2015 Father Mathew Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Yountville, Napa Valley, Family Collection
This rendition of the Father Mathew Cabernet Sauvignon displays the exuberant and rich character of both the 2015 Vintage and its Yountville vineyard site. Chocolate dipped cherries, ripe strawberry, and rhubarb pie waft from the glass. The palate opens with a silky texture that is accompanied by ripe cherry and plum that are framed by dark cocoa and loamy earth. It all trails into a persistent finish of strawberry, vanilla, and cedar, that is carried by the wines plush texture and incredibly ripe tannins. It’s magnificent.

The 2016 Father Mathew Cabernet Sauvignon opens with powerful aromas of cedar, graphite, black raspberry, loamy earth, and cocoa powder. On the palate, this decadent red delights with a wave of ripe plum, cherry liqueur, vanilla, and clove that is followed by a long finish of toasted graham. Unlike a lot of Napa Cabernet from 2016, this is already completely approachable, and will be a real treat for anyone who loves the showy and generous fruit Yountville is known for.

2014 Castellucci Vineyard, Chardonnay, Family Collection, Rutherford
The 2014 Castellucci Vineyard Chardonnay is about as luscious of a Chardonnay that you will find. Confectionary aromas of ripe red apple, crème brulee, fleur de se, and clove melt together to form its sweet bouquet. The velvet like palate is incredibly rich, with robust flavors of candied apple, caramel, poached pear, and meyer lemon oil that roll into a long finish of toasted oak and lemon pith. This is downright decadent and downright delicious.

2014 Pelkan Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Knights Valley, Sonoma County, Family Collection
The nose is velvety with rich notes of cinnamon, anise, molasses, and blackberry jam. There are also hints of clove and just a pinch of black pepper. The palate is equally as silky and opens with delicate notes of cherry and ripe raspberry. The wine grows on the palate showing its breadth and beautiful core which leads into a rich blackberry compote finish, complemented but the soft, fine tannin structure.

2017 O’Neill Vineyard Pinot Noir, Estate, Carneros, Napa Valley, Family Collection
As the name suggests, this Carneros vineyard belongs to the family is planted on 2.56 acres in the western hills of Napa. It sits between 50 to 100 feet above sea level and is regularly shaded by the marine layer from the San Francisco Bay. Its coastal influence allows us to craft a beautiful, elegant, and balanced Pinot Noir that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Aromatics of fresh red cherries and cranberries are complimented by dried flowers and sun baked earth. The refreshing palate is driven by bright pomegranate, red berry, and sandalwood flavors that are held together by lively acidity. It stays fresh and graceful on the palate despite its ripeness. This is a red wine that’ll delight in any season and is a perfect pairing for warmer months!

2014 Meritage Estate, Family Collection, Napa Valley
The 2014 Estate Meritage is a dynamic wine that showcases the broad spectrum of flavors that can be achieved with Bordeaux blends. A lovely bouquet of red, black, and purple fruits simmer from the glass along with aromas of graphite and cedar. On the palate, flavors of ripe strawberry and plum give way to savory notes of cedar, char, and cocoa that add to the wines complex profile. The ripe tannins have beautifully integrated into the wine and are practically seamless at this point. Everything builds to an emphatic finish.
